Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

Reges Town ("the Town", "the Service") is an online simulated city at regestown.com, including its website, live streams and related pages, operated by LIKE A KING INC. ("we", "us"). By visiting, playing in, or watching the Town, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. License to use the service

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, scrape, extract, resell or redistribute the Service, its code, 3D models, textures, characters or other assets, or use them to build a competing product, except as allowed by law or by the licence of a specific third-party asset listed on our Credits page.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms, and you may not send tips or sponsorships without their permission. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

4. Tips, sponsorships, pricing and billing

Watching and walking around the Town is free. You may choose to send a tip or sponsorship to support the project (for example, to fund servers). Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; we never see or store your full card details.

• Tips and sponsorships are voluntary support. They do not buy goods, ownership, equity, special rights, guaranteed features or influence over the project, and they are not charitable donations (they are not tax-deductible).
• Amounts are shown in US dollars before you pay. Your bank may add its own fees.
• All tips and sponsorships are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or in the case of a duplicate or unauthorised charge reported to us within [30] days.
• A name or message you add to a tip may be shown in the Town and on the live stream, after automatic filtering. Do not include personal information.
• We may change, pause or stop accepting tips or sponsorships at any time.

5. Your content

"Your content" means the display name you choose, chat or whisper messages you send to characters, tip messages and anything else you submit. You keep any rights you have in it. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, perform, broadcast, record and adapt your content as needed to run, stream, archive and promote the Service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to submit it. We may filter, hide or remove content at any time.

6. Live streaming and recording

The Town is broadcast live and may be recorded and replayed (for example on YouTube, TikTok or X). When you take part, your display name, your avatar and what you do or write in the Town may appear publicly on those streams and recordings. Do not use your real full name or anyone else's name, and do not share personal information about yourself or others. You may not record, stream or redistribute other visitors' content or personal information in ways that violate their rights or applicable law.

7. AI characters

The Town's residents, including the "LIKE A KING INC." leaders, are fictional AI characters. Their words and actions are generated automatically, partly by third-party AI models, and may be inaccurate, inappropriate or unexpected. They are not real people, do not speak for us, and nothing they say is professional (financial, legal, medical or other) advice. Any resemblance of a character to a real person is coincidental. Do not share sensitive personal information with characters; messages you send them may be processed by our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Stripe (payments), OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (character dialogue), streaming platforms, and our hosting provider. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, or that infringes anyone's rights, or that sexualises minors;
• impersonate any person or organisation, or use a display name that does;
• try to manipulate AI characters into producing harmful content, or attempt to extract system instructions, keys or other confidential information ("prompt injection");
• spam, flood, automate or bot the Service, or interfere with its operation, servers or other visitors;
• probe, scan or breach security, or access non-public parts of the Service;
• reverse-engineer, scrape or copy the Service or its assets except as permitted by law;
• use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written permission.

We may remove content, block names, and restrict or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its code, design, characters, names, logos ("Reges Town", "LIKE A KING INC." and related marks) and original content, is owned by LIKE A KING INC. or its licensors and protected by law. Third-party assets are used under their own licences, listed on the Credits page. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of these rights to you.

Copyright complaints. If you believe something in the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice with the details required by the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to [DMCA AGENT NAME, ADDRESS AND EMAIL].

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. The Town's time, weather, economy, "stock market" and events are simulated entertainment and have no real-world meaning. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LIKE A KING INC. and its officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in tips or sponsorships in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50. These limits do not apply where the law forbids them.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless LIKE A KING INC. and its officers, employees and partners from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of anyone's rights.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access, remove your content, or change or discontinue the Service, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. Sections 5, 9 to 13 and 16 to 19 survive termination.

15. App store terms

Reges Town is currently a website and has no mobile app. If we release an app through Apple's App Store or Google Play, the store's terms will also apply to that app, the store will not be responsible for the app or its support, and in case of conflict these Terms will control to the extent allowed by the store's terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE OF INCORPORATION] and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

17. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please contact us first; most concerns can be resolved informally within 30 days. If not, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by [ARBITRATION PROVIDER, e.g. the American Arbitration Association] under its consumer rules, held in [CITY, STATE] or online. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action. Either side may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either side may seek injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us within 30 days of first using the Service.

18. State-specific notices

California: under Civil Code § 1789.3, California users may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210. Residents of other states may have additional rights under local law that these Terms do not limit.

19. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give notice in the Town. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
