Accessibility Statement
1. Our commitment
LIKE A KING INC. wants Reges Town (regestown.com) to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Our goal is for the pages of the site, including the market page, the account dialog, the Economy page and these legal pages, to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This is a goal that we work toward, and we do not claim that every page meets it today.
2. What we do
- Text pages, including these legal pages, use semantic headings, lists and tables, descriptive links, a visible keyboard focus and sufficient color contrast, and they reflow at narrow widths and when zoomed.
- Forms (sign-in, account, checkout confirmation, ad upload) use labelled fields and plain-language messages.
- Payments and billing happen on pages hosted by Stripe, which maintains its own accessibility program.
- Sound in the Town can be turned off, and graphics quality can be lowered for devices that need less motion and load.
- Information shown in the 3D world is also available as text where we can provide it: the panels, the feed of events and the people list can be read without using the 3D view.
- Billboard Ads are images or short text; the text of a text Ad is real text that is also available on the market page.
3. Known limits
The Town is a real-time 3D world, and it has inherent limits. Moving through the world with a mouse, keyboard or touch, seeing the scene and judging distances may be difficult or impossible for some people, and some screen readers cannot describe a 3D canvas. Some visual details, such as the content of an image Ad inside the world, may not have a text equivalent beyond what the advertiser provides. Moving elements such as traffic, characters and weather may be distracting. Some third-party content, such as live streams on other platforms, is outside our control. We are working to improve these areas, and we welcome suggestions.
4. Alternatives
If you cannot use the 3D view, the text panels, the feed and the people list give you much of the same information, the market page lets you browse billboards and their prices as a list, and the contact form lets you ask us for help with any task, such as canceling a rental or asking for a refund. We will do our best to help by another route.
5. Report a barrier
If you meet an accessibility barrier on any page, or need information in another format, tell us through the contact form at likeakinginc.com (subject: "Accessibility"), with the page, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and assistive technology you use if you wish. We aim to acknowledge your message within 5 business days and to propose a fix or a workaround within 30 days, and we will tell you the outcome. We review accessibility reports when we change the site.
6. Standards and scope
This statement covers regestown.com and its pages, including the legal pages. It does not cover sites run by others that we link to. We assess the site by our own testing, including keyboard-only use, zoom and reflow tests and automated checks. "WCAG 2.2 AA" means level AA success criteria of the guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium; this statement is not a certification.
7. Changes and contact
We will update this statement as the site changes and change the "Last updated" date. Questions: LIKE A KING INC., a New York corporation, USA. Use the contact form at likeakinginc.com.
